Over a Billion Market Cap:

  • Leonardo DRS Inc. (DRS): Approximately $8.6 billion. Rose ~65% this year.

  • Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. (KTOS): Approximately $4.01 billion. Rose ~34% this year.

  • AeroVironment Inc. (AVAV): Approximately $4.45 billion. Rose ~27% this year.

  • Northrop Grumman Corporation (NOC): Approximately $68 billion. Rose ~.27% this year.

  • Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT): Approximately $115 billion. Rose ~7.2% this year.

Under a Billion Market Cap:

  • Red Cat Holdings (RCAT): Approximately $982 million. Rose 1,342.35% this year.

  • Unusual Machines (UMAC): Approximately $248 million. Rose 460.07% this year.

  • AgEagle Aerial Systems (UAVS): Approximately $16.69 million. Fell 96.80% this year.

  • Ondas Holdings Inc. (ONDS): Approximately $221 million. Rose 42.31% this year.

Based off of these stocks, we can see small cap drone stocks shot up more than Elon’s weiner when he sees Sergey Brin’s ex-wife. Yea, he did that: LOL

The nepo play: 

Unusual Machines has had the most interesting rise. As we know, the grift during Trump’s presidency will be something we will never have seen before. Donald Trump Jr. was recently appointed on the board of UMAC. Companies are rushing to put Donald Trump Jr. on a board quicker than the regards in r/superstonk to post a RK tweet. Based off of their S-1 they only have 3 employees (Feb 1,2024), but I assume they are higher at this time. This smells like 2020 SPAC season, so be wary.

The r/WSB play:

If you are going to regret picking a stock based off of WSB, RCAT is the one. Out of the drone stocks, it is mentioned the most and has had the biggest rise. One reason to highlight is them beating a much larger drone incumbent, Skydio: Red Cat wins U.S. Army next-gen drone contract over Skydio

AMZN wants to deliver 500,000,000 packages by drones per year by 2029. They are masters of efficiency and scale, I could see them using drones for different reasons besides delivering too.

I asked CHAT GPT to guess the number of drones this will require, and it got ~150,000. This is a massive amount of drones.
